M.Pneumonia IgM Test Cassette (Colloidal Gold)
Principle
Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM Test Cassette is immunochromatography based. The test card contains colloidal gold-labeled recombinant Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigen, one detection line (T line) and one quality control line (C line) coated on a nitrocellulose membrane. T is coated with anti-human IgM monoclonal antibody for detecting the Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM antibody. The quality control antibody is coated on the C line. When an appropriate amount of test specimen is added into sample well, the sample will move forward along the test card via capillary action. If the Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM antibodies level in the specimen is at or above the detection limit of the test, it will bind to the colloidal gold-labeled Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigen. The antibody/antigen complex will be captured by the anti-human IgM antibody immobilized on the membrane, forming a red T line and indicating a positive result for the IgM antibody. The surplus colloidal gold-labeled Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigen will bind to anti-Mycoplasma pneumoniae polyclonal antibody and form a red C line. When Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM antibody presents in the specimen, the cassette will appear two visible line. If
Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgM antibodies are not present in the sample or below the LoD, the cassette will only appear C line.
