Staphylococcus aureus Antigen Rapid Test Kit(Colloidal Gold)
Principle
The Staphylococcus aureus Antigen Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a qualitative membrane strip based immunoassay for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus antigen in human feces. The test cassette consists of 1) a burgundy colored conjugate pad containing anti-Staphylococcus aureus monoclonal antibody conjugated with Colloid gold; 2) a nitrocellulose membrane strip containing a test line(T line) and a control line(C line). The T line is pre-coated with anti-Staphylococcus aureus polyclonal antibody, and the C-line is pre-coated with goat anti-mouse IgG antibody. When specimens are
processed and added to the sample well, the specimen is absorbed into the device by the capillary action. If Staphylococcus aureus Antigen present in the specimen, it will bind to the anti-Staphylococcus aureus monoclonal antibody conjugates. The immunocomplex is then captured by the pre-coated anti-Staphylococcus aureus polyclonal antibody on the T line, forming a burgundy-colored T line, indicating a hemoglobin positive test result. When the Staphylococcus aureus antigen level in the specimen does not exist or lower
than the detection limit of the test, there is no visible colored band in the Test line(T) of the device. This indicates a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear at the control line region indicating that proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
